Branch Compliance Officer

About the role

The Branch Compliance Officer supports and monitors compliance activities across assigned bank branches, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies and procedures. The role identifies and escalates compliance risks and exceptions for timely resolution while providing guidance to branch staff.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor assigned branches for compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, procedures and internal control standards.
• Conduct periodic compliance reviews and follow up on identified exceptions until closure.
• Ensure KYC, Customer Due Diligence, AML/CFT and sanctions compliance across branches.
• Review account‑opening documentation for regulatory and internal compliance.
• Identify, document and escalate compliance breaches, exceptions and emerging risks.
• Provide compliance guidance and support to branch staff.
• Track remediation of findings from reviews, audits and regulatory examinations.
• Prepare periodic compliance reports for management review.

Required profile

• Good knowledge of banking operations and regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of AML/CFT, KYC, CDD and sanctions compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify exceptions.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple locations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
