Accountant – Real Estate & Diversified Business

About the role

Banex Industries Limited is looking for a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Accountant to support its diversified operations across manufacturing, real estate, hospitality and other sectors. The role starts with an intensive training programme in Abuja before the successful candidate relocates to Lagos.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Process and monitor accounts payable and receivable.
• Maintain the general ledger and perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with tax, accounting and regulatory requirements and support audit processes.

Required profile

• First‑Class degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or Real Estate (or Distinction from a Polytechnic).
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, general ledger management and financial statement preparation.
• Understanding of accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation and cash‑flow management.
• Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, taxation and audit processes.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and professional ethics.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
