Accountant

About the role

A full-time Accountant position based in Lagos, Nigeria. The role covers day-to-day accounting, asset control, payroll administration and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, examine and analyse accounting records and financial reports to check accuracy, completeness and compliance with standards
• Appraise, evaluate and take inventory of company assets while maintaining an asset register
• Record, reconcile and post petty cash and fuel imprest; reconcile payments and receipts
• Confirm customer deposits and issue receipts
• Administer payrolls and control income and expenditure
• Audit financial information
• Compile and present reports, budgets, business plans, commentaries and financial statements
• Handle any other related tasks assigned

Required profile

• HND or B.Sc degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in a relevant accounting role
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Knowledge and competency in accounting principles

Required skills

• Experience with accounting software is an added advantage
