About the role
The WASH Officer will support the implementation of water, sanitation and hygiene interventions in Pulka, Gwoza LGA, Borno State. Working under the supervision of the WASH Team Leader, the role focuses on delivering safe and effective WASH services to displaced and host communities.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement WASH projects in line with cluster standards and DRC guidelines.
- Engage with affected communities, local authorities and partner organisations to design and plan interventions.
- Manage the day‑to‑day operational tasks of WASH activities, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency.
- Monitor project progress, report findings and contribute to timely adjustments.
- Support the preparation of technical documentation and compliance with procedural requirements.
Required profile
- Minimum of one month experience in WASH or related humanitarian programmes.
- National of Nigeria with the ability to work in remote, insecure environments.
- Ability to work under the supervision of the WASH Team Leader and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
