SOC Analyst

About the role

The Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst will join Zora Communications' cybersecurity team in Lagos. You will be responsible for monitoring security alerts, analysing logs and helping to protect the organisation's digital assets against threats.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor alerts, logs and events from SIEM, EDR, network and other security monitoring tools.
• Perform initial triage to differentiate false positives from genuine incidents.
• Escalate confirmed or high‑severity incidents to senior SOC analysts following established procedures.
• Assist in basic investigations, collect evidence and maintain accurate incident records.
• Produce daily/weekly SOC reports and shift handover updates.
• Support vulnerability monitoring and follow up on identified issues.
• Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities and attack techniques.
• Collaborate with IT and other technical teams when deeper investigation or remediation is required.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a security operations or related role.
• A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Security).
