Recovery & Collection Officer

About the role

A full-time Recovery & Collection Officer position based in Lagos state. The role focuses on recovering outstanding loans through contact with customers and reporting to management.

Key responsibilities

• Contact customers for repayment of outstanding loans by phone, email and field visits.
• Negotiate repayment plans and ensure prompt collections.
• Maintain detailed records of all communications and recovery activities.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly collection reports.
• Escalate delinquent accounts to management when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies during collection activities.
• Support the reduction of non-performing loans and the improvement of portfolio quality.

Required profile

• HND or B.Sc. in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Up to 2 years' experience in loan recovery, credit control or debt collection, preferably in financial institutions.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet collection targets.
• High ethical standards and integrity.
