Production Supervisor – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the role

The Production Supervisor at Jawa International Limited oversees daily manufacturing operations in a pharmaceutical facility, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant production of high‑quality medicines.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate production operators and technicians during shifts.
• Ensure all activities follow approved SOPs, Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and GMP standards.
• Monitor processes to meet production targets while maintaining product quality.
• Conduct in‑process checks, sampling and testing on schedule.
• Identify and resolve production issues, deviations and equipment problems promptly.
• Enforce safety, health and environmental policies on the shop floor.
• Train, mentor and evaluate production staff to improve performance and compliance.
• Maintain line clearance, cleaning and setup before and after runs.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance and Warehouse teams for smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate production records, logs and reports.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis and implement CAPA for deviations.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives to reduce waste and increase efficiency.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or HND in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related physical/biological sciences.
• 3‑5 years of experience in pharmaceutical production, preferably in a supervisory role.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and SOP compliance.
• Experience with Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and production documentation systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of equipment maintenance and calibration procedures.
