Production Manager – Automotive & Aviation

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our assembly line operations in the automotive and aviation sector. The role focuses on meeting production targets while ensuring quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and oversee daily assembly line activities to achieve volume, quality, cost and timeline goals.
• Monitor production schedules, resource allocation, takt time and workflow balancing.
• Lead, train and supervise supervisors, line leaders and technicians, fostering accountability and improvement.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering for seamless execution.
• Analyse and optimise OEE, downtime, cycle time, rejection and rework metrics.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and EHS standards.
• Drive Lean initiatives such as Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, TPM, SMED and problem‑solving methods (PDCA, RCA, FMEA).
• Manage material flow using JIT, pull systems or digital assembly control tools.
• Support new product introductions, changeovers and process validation.
• Report performance to senior management and recommend efficiency improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial or Automobile Engineering.
• 7–15 years of experience in automotive, EV or heavy‑equipment assembly environments.
• Proven track record managing high‑speed, multi‑model production teams.
• Strong knowledge of quality tools, lean manufacturing and people management.
• Experience with vehicle assembly, battery integration or modular assembly systems.
• Familiarity with robotic or semi‑automated assembly lines.
• Lean Six Sigma, Industrial Safety or TPM certification is a plus.
