Procurement Officer – Lagos

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Procurement Officer to join our team in Lagos Marina. The role involves managing the end‑to‑end purchasing process, ensuring timely delivery of quality goods while driving cost efficiencies.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review and process approved purchase requisitions and orders.
• Source and evaluate reliable suppliers and obtain competitive quotations.
• Compare prices, negotiate favorable terms and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Place orders and monitor deliveries to ensure timely and accurate fulfilment.
• Verify that purchased goods and services meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of requisitions, quotations, purchase orders, suppliers, invoices and deliveries.
• Build and manage strong supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.
• Coordinate with Finance, Operations, Production, Stores, Administration and other departments.
• Monitor stock and purchasing requirements to support timely replenishment and prevent stock‑outs.
• Resolve purchasing, supplier, quality and delivery issues promptly.
• Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, approval processes and ethical standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and report any suspected irregularities or conflicts of interest.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain management.
• Experience in supplier sourcing, quotation analysis, negotiation, order processing and supplier management.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing procedures and documentation.
