Parametric CAD Developer (OpenSCAD) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Computational CAD Engineer to create and refine parametric models using OpenSCAD. This remote, hourly‑contract position offers the chance to turn conceptual ideas into precise 2D and 3D programmatic designs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, document, and optimize OpenSCAD scripts for parametric CAD models.
• Convert conceptual designs into detailed 2D and 3D models using Boolean operations, transformations, extrusion, and composition methods.
• Leverage OpenSCAD features such as list comprehensions, flow‑control structures, and type‑test functions to build reusable, modular components.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to explain design logic and modeling decisions.

Required profile

• Strong experience with OpenSCAD and parametric CAD scripting.
• Proficiency in OpenSCAD syntax, constants, operators, and special variables.
• Ability to translate concepts into accurate, optimized CAD models with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical explanations.
