IT Security Team Lead

About the role

The Security Team Lead will provide strategic direction and day‑to‑day oversight of a dedicated security team. You will be responsible for protecting client IT systems, networks and data from cyber threats while driving continuous improvement of Security Operations Center (SOC) capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and train security staff, conduct performance reviews and identify skill gaps.
• Assess client security needs, perform risk and vulnerability assessments, and design remediation solutions.
• Support sales with technical content for RFPs, RFQs and proposals.
• Deliver technical presentations, demos, PoCs and workshops to showcase security solutions.
• Manage security projects from planning through deployment, ensuring alignment with timelines and budgets.
• Develop AI‑driven security playbooks to automate detection, containment, eradication and recovery.
• Implement and maintain next‑generation firewalls, IDS/IPS, anti‑malware, content filtering, application control, API security, VPN, Secure SD‑WAN and ZTNA.
• Oversee installation, configuration and maintenance of IAM, endpoint security (EDR/XDR/MDR), incident management, DLP, application security, SIEM, cloud security, vulnerability management and threat assessment platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a technology‑driven or IT consulting environment.
• Hands‑on experience with a broad range of security solutions.
• Professional certifications such as CCNP (Enterprise & Security), CISSP, CISM, Fortinet (FCSS, FCP, FCX) are a strong advantage.
• Proven leadership, strategic thinking and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
