HR Officer – Hospitality

About the role

The HR Officer will support Madam BigBen Restaurant in managing its human resources functions. This full‑time position is based in Lagos and focuses on recruitment, employee relations, and administrative HR tasks within the hospitality sector.

Key responsibilities

• Manage staff recruitment, interviews, selection, and onboarding.
• Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files.
• Monitor attendance, lateness, absenteeism, leave, and schedules.
• Prepare HR documents such as appointment letters, warnings, confirmations, and other correspondence.
• Implement company HR policies, procedures, and disciplinary processes.
• Handle employee concerns, grievances, and workplace conflicts professionally.
• Coordinate performance appraisals and reviews.
• Ensure proper staff orientation and adherence to company rules and SOPs.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
• Coordinate staff meetings, training, and internal communications.
• Assist management with payroll inputs, deductions, allowances, and related HR information.
• Manage general administrative duties, office records, supplies, and correspondence.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations.
• Provide regular HR reports and updates to management.
• Support a positive workplace culture and professional discipline.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification of an HND.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar HR role.
