About the role
The General Manager will lead the retail store to achieve its revenue and profitability targets while delivering an outstanding customer experience. You will be accountable for all aspects of store performance, from sales strategy to operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Own store P&L, set and achieve revenue, margin and profitability goals.
- Develop and execute sales strategies, promotions and in‑store activations to drive footfall and conversion.
- Oversee daily operations, ensure brand standards, manage inventory, replenishment and shrinkage control.
- Maintain high customer service standards, handle escalated complaints and drive loyalty initiatives.
- Recruit, train, coach and evaluate store staff, fostering a high‑performance culture.
- Manage budgets, cash handling, banking and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, health & safety, security and regulatory requirements.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management or a related field.
- 7–10 years of retail experience with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven commercial acumen and P&L management experience.
- Strong leadership, communication and decision‑making abilities.
- High integrity, accountability and results‑orientation.
Required skills
- Proficiency with retail systems / POS.
- Basic financial analysis.
