Truck Driver

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team in Lagos. You will be responsible for transporting containers, cargo and goods safely and on schedule, while adhering to company and port regulations. This full‑time position offers the chance to work in a dynamic shipping environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate company trucks safely and responsibly, delivering cargo to designated locations.
• Conduct daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, checking tyres, brakes, lights, engine oil, coolant and other critical components.
• Secure and handle cargo properly, ensuring correct documentation and container verification.
• Maintain accurate trip, delivery, fuel and vehicle records.
• Report any vehicle faults, accidents, delays or incidents promptly to the Fleet Manager.
• Follow assigned routes and instructions from the Operations/Fleet team.
• Monitor fuel usage and report unusual consumption.
• Maintain cleanliness and good condition of the assigned truck.
• Demonstrate professional conduct when interacting with customers, terminal personnel and other road users.

Required profile

• Minimum of one year (12 months) experience driving trucks.
• Professional driving certificate.
• Ability to follow traffic laws, port regulations and company safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail for documentation and vehicle inspections.
