About the role
We are looking for a Tax Associate to join our finance team in Lagos. The role involves managing corporate tax compliance, preparing statutory returns and supporting tax audits for our clients in the banking and finance sector.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and file Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Value Added Tax (VAT), Withholding Tax (WHT), PAYE and other statutory tax returns.
- Develop tax computations, schedules and reconciliations.
- Assist tax audits and investigations with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) and other authorities.
- Respond to tax queries, support assessments and provide advisory research.
- Maintain accurate tax records and monitor compliance deadlines.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
- 3‑5 years of relevant tax experience, preferably with exposure to FIRS/LIRS processes.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax legislation.
- Professional qualifications such as ICAN, ACCA or CITN are advantageous.
Required skills
- Proficiency with TaxProMax tax software.
