Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager will drive fund mobilization, liquidity planning and strategic partnerships for our banking and finance operations in Nigeria. You will act as a key advisor to senior management on treasury, credit and risk matters while ensuring compliance and strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Mobilize funds from individual, corporate and institutional sources, forecast cash flows and maintain optimal liquidity levels.
• Build and manage relationships with clients, financial institutions and partners, providing strategic advice on treasury and credit.
• Monitor and manage the Weighted Average Cost of Borrowing, develop deposit placement frameworks and oversee investment of excess liquidity.
• Develop strategies to mitigate concentration risk, rebalance portfolios and stay abreast of market and regulatory changes.
• Evaluate, structure and monitor credit facilities, work with credit risk teams and ensure compliance with documentation standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field.
• Professional certification such as ACI, CIBN or ACCA is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial services, treasury, institutional relationship management or credit administration.
• Strong knowledge of financial markets, liquidity management, credit risk and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical abilities.
