Supply Chain Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead procurement, inventory, and logistics operations for our manufacturing business in Lagos. The role involves close collaboration with R&D, production, and sales teams to ensure material availability while optimizing costs.

Key responsibilities

• Source, negotiate and manage relationships with suppliers of raw materials and packaging.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to reduce costs and improve supplier performance.
• Coordinate import and export processes and oversee warehousing activities.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels using ERP/MRP systems and conduct regular stock audits.
• Forecast material needs in partnership with production and sales, adjusting for seasonal demand and new product launches.
• Monitor market trends, adjust purchasing strategies, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Generate reports on inventory turnover, procurement costs, and supplier performance for senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum university degree; MBA or relevant professional memberships preferred.
• At least 9 years of experience in supply chain, procurement or related roles.
• Senior‑level expertise with proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
