State Coordinator – POS Operations

About the role

The State Coordinator (POS) will lead all point‑of‑sale (POS) activities within the assigned state, ensuring smooth service delivery, revenue growth and compliance with regulatory standards. This role reports to the Regional Manager and works closely with agents, merchants, field officers and internal support teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily POS operations across the state.
• Recruit, onboard and manage POS agents, merchants and field officers.
• Monitor transaction volumes, terminal uptime, agent performance and revenue metrics.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, KYC requirements and Nigerian regulatory guidelines.
• Handle escalations such as terminal downtime, failed transactions, settlement issues and customer complaints.
• Collaborate with technical and support teams to resolve system issues and improve performance.
• Develop and execute strategies to expand the agent network and increase market penetration.
• Conduct regular training, performance reviews and coaching for agents and field staff.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities.
• Prepare and submit periodic performance, risk and operational reports.
• Manage cash handling, settlement accuracy and reconciliation in partnership with finance.
• Enforce fraud‑prevention measures and report suspicious activities.
• Represent the company with local partners, merchants and government stakeholders as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Banking & Finance, Economics, Accounting, Marketing or a related field.
