About the role
The Senior Officer, Global Monitoring & Evaluation (M/E) supports International Medical Corps’ worldwide M/E system, ensuring high‑quality data collection, analysis and reporting across all country missions. Working closely with HQ staff, Advisors and the Director of Global M/E, the role drives the implementation of the M/E Manual, standards and global reporting tools.
Key responsibilities
- Update and harmonise M/E standards, competency frameworks, manuals and training materials for field staff.
- Coordinate global reporting processes, including the Global Country Report (GCR), indicator development and data consolidation for board meetings and annual reports.
- Provide technical support to country missions for data entry in DHIS2 and for the design of data collection tools (Kobo, Ona, XLS forms).
- Lead the transition of country‑specific data systems to the global DHIS2 platform and gather business requirements for implementation.
- Develop and maintain global dashboards in Power BI and support the Satellite‑based Tracking and Remote Monitoring (STARM) system rollout.
- Facilitate capacity‑building activities, webinars and the M/E Community of Practice for HQ and field staff.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in epidemiology, public health, statistics, social sciences or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of applied M/E experience, with at least 3 years in humanitarian settings across Africa, Asia or the Middle East.
- Proven experience designing, implementing and analysing quantitative and qualitative M/E activities, including baseline and end‑of‑project assessments.
- Demonstrated ability to work with multi‑sectoral programmes (Health, Nutrition, WASH, Protection, etc.) and to produce donor‑compliant reports.
Required skills
- DHIS2 data management and reporting.
- Power BI dashboard development.
- KoboToolbox and Ona form builders (mobile data collection).
- Advanced Excel (XLS) for questionnaire design and data analysis.
- Indicator development and global indicator bank maintenance.
- Remote monitoring tools, including the STARM system.
