Senior Hardware Installation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Hardware Installation Engineer to lead end‑to‑end hardware projects for our clients in Lagos. The role combines pre‑sales technical support, on‑site installation, and after‑sales service to ensure reliable delivery of complex IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑process hardware project implementation, including installation, debugging, and delivery of servers, storage, network gear and security monitoring devices.
• Provide pre‑sales technical support by assessing customer sites, preparing implementation plans, BOM calculations and technical proposals.
• Develop and maintain hardware installation SOPs, deliver technical training to internal teams and customers, and resolve complex post‑sale upgrades and fault investigations.
• Collaborate with software, network, and project‑management teams to address interface and compatibility issues, ensuring stable system operation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT hardware installation and system integration, with a proven record of independently delivering at least three large‑scale projects.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, HCIE/CCIE or a current engineering license are preferred.
• Experience in solar power supply systems and exposure to education or medical sectors is a plus.

Required skills

• Server, storage and network equipment installation
• Security monitoring and terminal device deployment
• Hardware debugging and troubleshooting from physical to network layers
• Knowledge of wiring standards, computer‑room construction standards and power/weak‑current safety regulations
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLAN, routing and switching technologies
