Research Analyst – Stock Brokerage & Investment Banking

About the role

LD&D Consulting is looking for a highly analytical Research Analyst to join its stock‑broking team in Marina, Lagos. You will conduct deep research on listed companies, build valuation models and deliver actionable investment recommendations to both institutional and retail clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain three‑statement financial models (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Perform company, industry and macro‑economic research using top‑down and bottom‑up approaches.
• Value companies using DCF and relative multiples methodologies.
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes and competitive dynamics.
• Prepare research reports, daily market briefs, earnings reviews and initiation reports.
• Present findings to institutional clients, portfolio managers and internal sales/trading teams.
• Maintain relationships with listed companies, attend earnings calls, investor conferences and site visits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics or a related quantitative field.
• 2–5 years of experience in equity research, investment banking, corporate finance, asset management or stock‑broking.
• Strong analytical ability and excellent understanding of financial markets.
• Progress toward or possession of a CIS certification is an advantage.
