Audit Specialist

About the role

The Audit Specialist will lead analysts in validating financial statements and improve the efficiency of internal operations. This role supports the Group Head of Audit in providing assurance on compliance, risk management, and control effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Team Lead in developing and monitoring the Financial & Operational Audit Plan.
• Ensure audit procedures are strictly followed, including issue identification, evidence analysis, and documentation.
• Evaluate financial records, establish risk‑based audit programs, and review audit reports.
• Make recommendations to enhance internal controls and manage ad‑hoc audit assignments.
• Oversee the work of financial and operational audit analysts and communicate findings to senior management and the Audit Committee.
• Maintain ethical standards and compliance with IIA Standards and Code of Ethics.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting (Master’s or MBA preferred).
• Professional membership: CIA, ICAN, ACCA, or CPA.
• Minimum 7 years of financial and operational audit experience, preferably with Big 4 or multinational exposure.
• Experience across multiple industries such as manufacturing, energy, or utilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP and other accounting packages.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, ICFR, and financial controls.
• Ability to identify fraud indicators and conduct risk assessments.
