Relationship Officer

About the role

The Relationship Officer will promote and sell loan products, building a profitable portfolio while maintaining strong client relationships. This field‑based role focuses on acquiring new customers, managing loan disbursements, and ensuring timely repayments.

Key responsibilities

• Market and sell the organization's loan products to prospective clients
• Build, manage, and grow a profitable loan portfolio
• Identify and acquire new customers through field marketing and referrals
• Conduct client assessments and loan appraisals
• Facilitate loan processing and disbursement
• Monitor loan performance and ensure timely repayments
• Follow up on overdue accounts and support recovery efforts
• Maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
• Achieve monthly portfolio growth and disbursement targets
• Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports

Required profile

• Minimum OND/HND/Bachelor's degree in any discipline
• At least 2 years of experience in micro‑finance, fintech, cooperative, or financial services
• Proven experience in loan portfolio management and loan disbursement
• Strong sales and business development capabilities
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑management skills
• Ability to meet targets and work in a field‑based environment
