QHSE Lead

About the role

Beam Energy Limited is looking for a senior QHSE Lead to oversee the implementation, coordination and continuous improvement of its Quality, Health, Safety and Environment management systems across its Lagos operations. The role will champion a strong QHSE culture, ensure regulatory compliance and support business growth through effective risk management and certification.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the QHSE system, manuals and project QHSE plans.
• Schedule and lead QHSE meetings, waste‑management reviews and HSE inductions.
• Ensure QMS and HSE processes are established, communicated and adhered to.
• Act as management representative with regulatory and certification bodies.
• Conduct regular site inspections, enforce policies and drive corrective actions.
• Coordinate client‑related QHSE matters and facilitate toolbox talks.
• Organise HSE training, fire drills, housekeeping and safety equipment inspections.
• Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and preventive measures.
• Support tender preparation with QHSE documentation and advice.
• Maintain HSE statistical records, risk analyses and vendor evaluations.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 60 months (5 years) of relevant experience.
• HND or B.Sc degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Environmental Science).
• Proven ability to manage QHSE systems in the energy sector.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and certification processes.
