QA/QC Manager – Lagos

About the role

Samsung Heavy Industries Nigeria is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to lead quality assurance and control activities for its shipbuilding and offshore integration projects in Lagos. The role involves overseeing the implementation of the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and maintain the project Quality Management System (QMS).
• Develop and implement QA/QC recovery and execution plans.
• Monitor inspectors, document control, and filing systems for all QA/QC documents.
• Prepare, track, and close Non‑Conformity Reports (NCR) and punch‑list items.
• Liaise with project representatives to ensure inspection discipline processes and ITPs are completed.
• Maintain real‑time QA/QC databases and issue Inspection Release Notices (IRNs) after final inspections.
• Review and approve project procedures and attend regular construction QA/QC meetings.
• Supervise documentation, inspection reports, NCRs, and punch‑list records.
• Lead compliance audits and enforce Repair Information Sheet (RIS) controls.
• Oversee material, consumable, and workmanship inspections, including qualified welders.

Required profile

• Lead Auditor certification for ISO 9001:2015.
• CSWIP Welding Inspector certification (Level 1, 2 or 3).
• ASNT Non‑Destructive Testing certification (Level 1, 2 or 3).
