Programme Budget Specialist (P-3) – Temporary (3 months)

About the role
Under the direct supervision of the Chief (PMR) at UNICEF Nigeria, the Programme Budget Specialist will track, analyse and report income and expenditures, including donor contributions, and support the overall governance of the office.
Key responsibilities
- Support budget analysis with a focus on results achievement.
- Manage contribution planning, allocation and monitoring across programmes.
- Prepare and maintain financial dashboard and resource‑mobilisation reports.
- Produce donor reporting and financial reports for HQ, RO and CO.
- Provide VISION support for fund management and oversee cost distribution and payroll.
- Coordinate cross‑sectoral pooled funds.
Required profile
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Development Studies, Statistics, Social Sciences or related fields.
- Minimum five years of experience in programme management, budgeting or related financial roles.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of another UN language or a local language is a plus.
Required skills
- Proficiency in SAP.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with spreadsheet and database packages.
- Familiarity with EU financial reporting (asset).
