Print Production Manager

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Print Production Manager to lead our Lagos printing facility. The role involves overseeing the entire print workflow, from pre‑press to final delivery, ensuring projects meet quality, cost and deadline targets.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and supervise daily print production activities, coordinating pre‑press, printing, finishing and packaging operations.
• Develop production schedules, allocate resources efficiently and resolve bottlenecks to maximise productivity.
• Monitor print quality, review artwork and proofs, and implement corrective actions to minimise errors and waste.
• Oversee operation, maintenance and servicing of printing and finishing equipment, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Manage inventory of paper, inks, plates and chemicals, coordinate procurement and maintain accurate stock records.
• Supervise, train and mentor machine operators, press operators, bindery staff and production assistants, assigning tasks and evaluating performance.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, enforce PPE use and maintain a clean, safe production environment.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production reports, tracking costs, machine utilisation and efficiency.
• Liaise with clients, designers, sales teams and suppliers to communicate project status and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Printing Technology, Graphic Arts, Industrial Engineering, Production Management or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in print production or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to manage teams, schedules and budgets in a fast‑paced setting.
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety standards.
