About the role
The bank is seeking an experienced finance professional to lead its Real Estate team in Nigeria. The Principal Banker will oversee complex real‑estate and hospitality transactions from origination through execution, while contributing to policy dialogue and business development.
Key responsibilities
- Structure and execute complex real‑estate and hospitality transactions, working closely with senior operation leaders.
- Monitor portfolio performance, provide value‑creation advice and supervise junior team members.
- Engage in policy dialogue with bank units and country teams, supporting grant and technical cooperation initiatives.
- Drive business development activities to build market contacts and generate deal flow.
- Recruit, train, coach and mentor junior bankers, ensuring quality and balanced workload.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree with strong quantitative and numerical abilities.
- Extensive experience in real‑estate financing or development within banks, IFIs, private equity, asset management or consulting.
- Proven credit analysis expertise and familiarity with local and international accounting standards.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills in English.
