Operations and Procurement Manager – Nigeria

About the role

The Operations and Procurement Manager will be based in Abuja, reporting to the Finance and Operations Director. This role ensures efficient program operations, ethical procurement, and compliance with PATH and donor policies while supporting the Nigeria Country Program.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee cost‑effective acquisition of goods and services, ensuring compliance with PATH and donor procurement policies.
• Develop and maintain procurement plans, conduct competitive bidding, select and qualify suppliers, and issue purchase orders.
• Manage vendor relationships, review contracts, and maintain a procurement tracker for the country program.
• Coordinate domestic travel and hotel arrangements, ensuring travel requests comply with PATH procedures.
• Update procurement and travel policies annually and provide training to project staff.
• Serve as Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for the Abuja office, overseeing security systems and emergency response equipment.
• Manage office facilities, utilities, internet, supplies, and equipment, and supervise the procurement officer.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management within an international or nonprofit setting.
• Strong knowledge of donor and organizational procurement, travel, conflict‑of‑interest and ethics policies.
• Ability to lead competitive bidding processes, vendor qualification, and contract management.
• Experience coordinating travel logistics and managing office facilities and security preparedness.
• Excellent communication skills to train staff and advise project teams.
