Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Officer – Vaccine Innovation

About the role

PATH’s Center for Vaccine Innovation and Access is seeking a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer to strengthen routine immunization coverage across 16 Local Government Areas in Kebbi State, Nigeria. The officer will work on the ground with health officials, partners, and mobile immunization teams to ensure high‑quality data collection, analysis, and use.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Kebbi State and LGA health officials, local partners, and PATH colleagues to develop and maintain MEL strategies for routine immunization.
• Support and provide feedback on project workplans and MEL‑related deliverables.
• Assist mobile immunization team data collectors to guarantee accurate, complete, and timely data capture and reporting.
• Help design and deliver a training program for data collectors, aligning with government immunization materials.
• Analyze routine health information system data to assess progress and inform program design.
• Review results with stakeholders and use findings to improve program delivery.

Required profile

• Experience supporting monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities in health or immunization programs.
• Ability to work closely with local government health officials, partners, and field data collectors.
• Strong analytical mindset for data quality assurance and progress assessment.
• Based in Kebbi State and able to report to the Senior MEL Officer.
