Market Intelligence & Insights Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Market Intelligence & Insights Analyst to join our growing MI&I team. Working closely with the MI&I Manager, you will help uncover customer behaviours and market trends that shape Nigeria’s fintech landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing, scripting, and deploying customer surveys to measure satisfaction, product usage, and market trends.
• Organise and conduct customer interviews, focus groups, and usability tests to understand the "why" behind behaviours.
• Analyse raw data, including survey results and internal metrics, to identify patterns and translate them into actionable insights.
• Monitor the Nigerian lending and fintech landscape, tracking competitor products, campaigns, and market positioning.
• Co‑create visually engaging reports and presentations for product, marketing, and management teams.
• Support end‑to‑end research projects that influence business decisions and strategy.

Required profile

• Experience in customer experience, data analytics, product, operations, or related areas is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of the company’s products, customer base, and operations.
• No prior formal market research experience required; willingness to learn methodologies.

Required skills

• Comfortable using basic data manipulation tools such as Excel or Google Sheets.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
• Eagerness to learn quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
