Loan Officer

About the role

The Loan Officer will be responsible for sourcing new clients, processing loan applications and ensuring the smooth management of loan portfolios. This role combines customer interaction, credit assessment and field activities to support the organisation's financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and attract potential borrowers through outreach and networking.
• Process loan applications, verify documentation and assess creditworthiness.
• Monitor repayment schedules and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
• Conduct field visits to verify client information and support loan recovery.
• Promote the organisation's financial products and services.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification: OND (Ordinary National Diploma).
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to meet targets and work under pressure.
• Hardworking, honest and result‑oriented.
• Willingness to perform fieldwork and customer follow‑up.

Required skills

• Basic computer knowledge.
