Legal Officer – Corporate & Labor Law

About the role

Eko Maintenance Limited, a leading facility management company in Lagos, is looking for a motivated Legal Officer to support its corporate and operational legal needs. This junior‑level position offers hands‑on experience in contract management, compliance, HR law and company secretarial duties within a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and vet contracts, agreements and other legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor statutory, regulatory and internal policy obligations, identifying and mitigating legal risks.
• Provide legal guidance on employee‑related matters, ensuring HR policies and practices align with labor laws and reporting requirements.
• Assist with company secretarial functions, maintaining proper filing systems for corporate and legal documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized institution.
• 1–3 years of experience in human resources and legal compliance.
• Excellent contract drafting and legal writing abilities.
• Strong foundational knowledge of corporate law, labor law and regulatory compliance.
• High integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.
