Lead Mobile App Developer

About the role

This remote position is for a Lead Mobile App Developer based in Nigeria, responsible for driving the development of high‑quality Android and iOS applications used worldwide. You will combine hands‑on engineering with technical leadership, guiding cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable mobile experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of advanced mobile applications for both Android and iOS platforms.
• Drive technical decisions and development practices to ensure scalable, high‑performing mobile solutions.
• Conduct detailed code reviews, enforce coding standards, and optimise performance.
• Integrate external APIs, data sources, and third‑party services into mobile apps.
• Write and maintain robust unit tests and monitor live application performance.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and product stakeholders to deliver intuitive user experiences.

Required profile

• 8+ years of mobile application development experience with strong expertise in Android and iOS.
• Advanced knowledge of Kotlin, Java, and Swift for native development.
• Proven leadership experience, including leading development initiatives and conducting code reviews.
• Strong understanding of mobile performance optimisation, architecture patterns (MVP, MVVM) and modern development approaches.
