System Administrator – Abuja

About the role

Moniepoint is looking for a hands‑on System Administrator to ensure the stability, performance and security of its entire IT infrastructure. This fully onsite position supports a fast‑growing fintech platform serving millions of users across Nigeria.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain servers, virtualization platforms and hybrid cloud environments.
• Configure, manage and troubleshoot enterprise networking equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points.
• Develop automation scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and use IaC tools such as Terraform and Ansible for scalable deployments.
• Implement security policies, manage endpoint protection, patch management and respond to security incidents.
• Onboard and offboard employees, provisioning workstations, VPNs, MDM solutions and user access controls.
• Provide L2/L3 technical support, manage tickets in Jira Service Management and maintain system documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of proven experience in system, network or IT support administration.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, Linux/Cloud) are highly desirable.

Required skills

• Active Directory or Directory‑as‑a‑Service (e.g., Jumpcloud).
• Linux/Unix administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian) and Windows Server.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, QoS.
• Hands‑on experience with Cisco and Ubiquiti networking gear.
• Scripting in Python, PowerShell and Bash.
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools: Terraform, Ansible.
• Monitoring/alerting: Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Ticketing systems: Jira Service Management.
