Key Account Manager – Unitary Sales (West Africa)

About the role

The Key Account Manager – Unitary Sales will lead growth of SKM’s HVAC portfolio across West Africa. You will build strategic relationships with distributors, key accounts, consultants, contractors and developers to generate new business and increase market share.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales growth and achieve revenue targets in Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana and Senegal.
• Manage and develop distributor networks, monitoring performance and expanding market coverage.
• Promote and sell unitary HVAC products including VRF systems, ducted units, wall‑mounted splits, cassette units, AHUs and rooftop package units.
• Identify new business opportunities, nurture key accounts and secure project sales.
• Lead the full sales cycle from project specification through award, ensuring accurate forecasting and timely collections.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities to support sustainable growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, HVAC or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of experience in HVAC sales, with a strong track record in distributor management and project sales of DX units.
• In‑depth knowledge of West African HVAC market dynamics.
• Established network with consultants, contractors and developers in the region.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively across West Africa.

• HVAC product knowledge (VRF, AHU, RTP, RAC, CAC).
