Commercial Team Lead

About the role

Doctoro Health is seeking an experienced Commercial Team Lead to join its early team in Lagos. This full‑time, on‑site leadership position will own commercial execution, build a high‑performing sales team and expand Doctoro’s presence across the Nigerian healthcare market.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Doctoro’s commercial team, setting targets and monitoring performance.
• Develop and execute sales and business‑development strategies to drive market growth.
• Build and manage relationships with hospitals, clinics, healthcare organisations and corporate partners.
• Identify, pursue and convert new commercial and partnership opportunities.
• Manage outreach, pipeline development, follow‑ups and conversions.
• Prepare sales forecasts, reports and commercial performance updates.
• Collaborate with product and operations teams to incorporate market and customer feedback.
• Represent Doctoro in client meetings, negotiations, partnerships and industry engagements.

Required profile

• Strong experience in sales, business development, partnerships or commercial leadership.
• Previous experience leading or managing a sales/commercial team.
• Demonstrable ability to build and manage a sales pipeline.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to take ownership and thrive in an early‑stage company.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Healthcare Management or related field.
• Preferred: experience in healthtech, digital health, healthcare sales or medical technology.
• Preferred: knowledge of the Nigerian healthcare market and existing relationships with hospitals, clinics or HMOs.

What we offer

• Salary of ₦6,600,000 to ₦7,800,000 per year, depending on experience.
• Equity of 0.5% to 1% subject to vesting and performance.
