Inventory Officer

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Inventory Officer to join our fast‑moving retail and FMCG business in Lagos. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, ensuring timely replenishment, and upholding safety and quality standards across our storage facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily, weekly and monthly physical stock counts and reconcile them with system data.
• Monitor stock levels, generate replenishment requests and apply FEFO rotation to prevent stockouts and waste.
• Receive, verify and document incoming goods against purchase orders and supplier invoices.
• Maintain organized, labelled storage areas and ensure safe handling of inventory.
• Prepare and submit regular stock movement, variance and loss reports to management.
• Coordinate with production, sales and procurement teams for stock requisitions and order follow‑up.
• Identify, isolate and process damaged, expired or obsolete items according to SOPs.

Required profile

• A minimum of a BSc degree.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar inventory or stock control role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
