Inventory Control Officer

About the role

The Inventory Control Officer will manage the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of materials at PalmPay's Jos warehouse. The role ensures accurate record‑keeping, timely dispatches, and strict adherence to safety and operational procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials, verifying accuracy and quality.
• Arrange and store items in designated locations to maintain order and accessibility.
• Pick, pack, and prepare materials for dispatch according to approved requests.
• Assist in regular stock counts and report discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
• Support loading and off‑loading of materials during deliveries and returns.
• Maintain accurate dispatch documentation (waybills, transfer notes, etc.) and coordinate with drivers and couriers.
• Update stock cards and inventory registers after every transaction.
• Label and track all materials for easy identification and report low stock, damages, or shortages.
• Follow standard operating procedures and company safety and security guidelines.
• Assist in documentation for inbound and outbound transactions and support audit exercises.

Required profile

• Ability to follow standard operating procedures for material handling.
• Compliance with company safety and security policies, including use of protective equipment.
• Willingness to assist in documentation and support audit activities.
