HSE / Safety Officer – Road Construction (2-year contract)

About the role

The HSE / Safety Officer will support a major road construction project across Oyo and Kwara states, ensuring health, safety and environmental standards are met throughout the two‑year contract.

Key responsibilities

• Implement HSE policies, conduct risk assessments and manage road traffic diversions to protect commuters and pedestrians.
• Enforce PPE compliance, deliver safety inductions and toolbox talks, and monitor environmental protection measures on site.
• Investigate incidents, prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate compliance documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience with top‑tier construction firms in Nigeria.
• Valid NEBOSH or ISPON certification and a degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety.
• 3–5 years of construction safety experience, specifically in road traffic management and emergency response/first aid.
• Physically fit, able to relocate within 4–6 weeks and work on‑site full time.
