HR Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead all people‑related functions for our manufacturing operations in Lagos. The role will partner with business leaders to attract talent, ensure compliance with Nigerian labour law, and foster a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements, source candidates, conduct screenings and interviews, and manage offers and onboarding.
• Maintain accurate employee records, oversee attendance, leave tracking and contract administration in line with the Nigerian Labour Act.
• Enforce HR policies, monitor safety protocols, and conduct regular policy briefings for staff.
• Design and deliver onboarding, induction and technical safety training for engineers, production and sales teams.
• Act as primary HR contact for employee relations, handling grievances, disciplinary actions and conflict resolution.
• Prepare HR dashboards and reports on headcount, turnover, attendance and recruitment metrics.
• Liaise with external vendors such as background‑check firms and insurance providers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of HR management experience in Nigeria, preferably in manufacturing or industrial equipment.
• Completed NYSC certificate or exemption – mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and statutory compliance.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Mandarin proficiency is a strong advantage.
• High integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail.
• Professional HR certifications (CIPM, PHRi, SHRM) are a plus.
