Hotel Cook

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Hotel Cook to join our kitchen team at Teestone Hotel and Apartment. You will be responsible for preparing a variety of meals that meet our high quality standards while supporting daily kitchen operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to hotel menus and recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, workstations, and equipment.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations at all times.
• Monitor stock levels, assist with receiving, storing, and rotating supplies.
• Control portions to minimize waste and ensure cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Inspect ingredients and finished dishes for freshness and quality.
• Assist with menu preparation and special event catering as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a cook or chef in a hotel, restaurant or similar hospitality setting.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle pressure.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Culinary certification or relevant training is an advantage.
