About the role
The HMO Officer will support the company's health insurance operations, acting as the primary point of contact for members and providers. This role ensures smooth processing of claims, referrals and approvals while maintaining high standards of customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Manage HMO‑related activities and maintain accurate documentation.
- Respond to client inquiries about HMO services, benefits and coverage.
- Process approvals, referrals and follow up on outstanding claims.
- Liaise with healthcare providers and insurance/HMO organisations.
- Keep up‑to‑date records of HMO members and transaction histories.
- Ensure compliance with HMO policies and relevant healthcare procedures.
- Resolve HMO‑related issues promptly and professionally.
Required profile
- Minimum OND in Health Administration, Public Health, Insurance, Business Administration or a related field.
- At least 12 months of relevant experience, preferably as an HMO Officer or in a healthcare setting.
- Good knowledge of HMO operations and procedures.
- Strong communication and customer‑service abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
