Head of Utilities

About the role

The Head of Utilities will define and execute the business model for city‑scale utilities—including water, power, gas, telecom and ICT—within Alaro City. Reporting to the Group Head of Utilities and Project Director, this senior position works closely with construction, delivery and Rendeavour group teams to ensure integrated utility services for the development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall strategy for utilities (water, power, gas, telecom, ICT) across Alaro City.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and business analysis for utility operations.
• Oversee policy development, regulatory compliance, and reporting deadlines.
• Coordinate engineering activities, procurement, construction and commissioning of utility infrastructure.
• Manage operations, maintenance, and service quality standards.
• Prepare high‑quality status reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, consultants and customers.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of hands‑on experience in utility infrastructure, including electricity generation and water treatment/distribution.
• Proven leadership experience in an engineering or construction environment.
• Strong background in construction, operation and maintenance of utilities.
• Demonstrated project management and business analysis capabilities.
