Frontend Developer – React, Next.js, TailwindCSS

About the role

We are looking for a talented Frontend Developer to join Miri Africa’s on‑site team in Lagos. You will shape the visual identity of our brand‑focused tools, turning design concepts into high‑performance web and mobile interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Develop user interfaces using React, React Native, Next.js and TypeScript.
• Create responsive layouts with TailwindCSS and modern CSS techniques.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and manage state for real‑time data rendering.
• Build advanced data visualisations using libraries such as Recharts, Chart.js or D3.js.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to deliver interactive map components and dashboards using Mapbox or Leaflet.
• Ensure all UI components meet accessibility standards, are fast and mobile‑optimised.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with React, React Native, TypeScript and Next.js.
• Proven ability to translate design mock‑ups into production‑ready code.
• Familiarity with TailwindCSS, responsive design principles and modern CSS.
• Experience building data‑driven components such as tables, charts or real‑time feeds.
• Knowledge of map rendering libraries (Mapbox, Leaflet) and charting tools (Recharts, Chart.js, D3.js).
• Understanding of accessibility standards and performance optimisation.
• Comfortable working with Git in an agile development environment.
