Finance Lead – Banking & FinTech

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Lead to head the day‑to‑day finance and accounting functions of our digital banking operation. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust controls, and strategic financial planning in a fast‑moving fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements in line with IFRS and CBN regulations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and provide data‑driven insights for senior management and board decisions.
• Manage treasury activities, cash‑flow planning, liquidity monitoring and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with tax, statutory and regulatory reporting requirements and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Develop and enforce financial policies, controls and procedures to protect assets and improve efficiency.
• Build, mentor and lead a high‑performing finance team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field; MBA or MSc in Finance is a plus.
• ACA or ACCA certification required; CIBN certification advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years of finance/accounting experience in banking, fintech or financial services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, CBN regulations and internal control frameworks.
