Finance Associate

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Associate to join our specialised industrial safety business in Lagos. You will work closely with the Finance Manager, handling day‑to‑day accounting tasks and supporting client‑facing finance activities across the oil & gas and industrial sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Post daily transactions, process invoices and manage expense categorisation in Zoho Books.
• Issue client invoices for PPE, fire safety and consulting services; follow up on outstanding receivables.
• Verify vendor bills, match purchase orders and process accounts payable.
• Support cash‑flow tracking, petty‑cash management and perform periodic bank reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly statutory tax remittances (VAT, WHT, PAYE) in line with Nigerian regulations.
• Prepare financial schedules, gather audit documentation and support internal/external audit processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of practical accounting/finance experience.
• Early‑stage ICAN/ACCA/CPA (student or part‑qualified) is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Experience in oilfield services, HSE, logistics or industrial sectors is a plus.

Required skills

• Hands‑on proficiency with Zoho Books or a similar cloud accounting/ERP platform.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and data filtering.
• Solid understanding of double‑entry bookkeeping and Nigerian tax compliance.
