Experienced Hotel Cook

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Hotel Cook to join the culinary team at Teestone Hotel and Apartment in Lagos. The successful candidate will prepare a wide range of dishes, maintain high quality standards, and support smooth kitchen operations in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to hotel menus and recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the kitchen, workstations, and equipment.
• Monitor food stock levels, assist with receiving, storing, and rotating supplies.
• Control portions to minimise waste and ensure cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations and support special event catering.
• Inspect ingredients and finished products for freshness and quality.
• Adhere to health, safety, and food‑safety policies at all times.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a cook, chef, or similar role in a hotel or hospitality setting (minimum 2 years).
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and teamwork.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Culinary certification or relevant training is an advantage.
