Emergency Program Manager (Nationals Only)

About the role

The Emergency Program Manager will be based in Maiduguri, supporting emergency teams across Nigeria's Northeast. The role involves regular field visits, providing technical guidance, monitoring activities, and ensuring high‑quality reporting and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and adapt emergency and rapid‑response strategies to the Nigerian context.
• Guide program teams on assessment preparation, execution, and reporting.
• Review and provide technical feedback on activity design and implementation.
• Conduct field monitoring, review archived data, and ensure accurate progress reporting.
• Represent the organization in cluster technical working groups.
• Build staff capacity through training and mentorship.
• Promote integration of environment and climate‑change analysis into program planning.

Required profile

• National of Nigeria (Nationals Only).
• Proven experience in emergency or humanitarian program management, preferably in WASH or related sectors.
• Ability to travel monthly to project sites and work in challenging environments.
• Strong understanding of the Nigerian humanitarian landscape and coordination mechanisms.
