General Manager - Agricultural Processing

About the role

This is a founding leadership position to establish and run a new vertically integrated agri‑industrial business in Lagos, Nigeria. You will take the project from feasibility through to full commercial operations, owning strategy, team building and results from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct the initial feasibility study for the agri‑industrial venture.
• Set up agricultural and processing operations and build the organisation from the ground up.
• Develop a full integration roadmap across the value chain.
• Manage government and stakeholder relationships.
• Identify commercial off‑take partners and position the business for long‑term growth.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in agri‑industrial or textile manufacturing.
• Hands‑on knowledge of the full value chain from raw material to processed output.
• Proven experience leading a greenfield project, feasibility study, or factory setup programme.
• Strong project management ability in ambiguous environments.
• Comfortable working in a frontier market with evolving infrastructure and regulatory conditions.
• Excellent stakeholder management across government, community and commercial partners.
